The genuine illuminated tread plates I had fitted to my original Giulietta were wired through the interior mirror, and down the a pillars , to get the LEDs to light up with the doors opening. Very expensive when you include the labour so I didn't get them on the Speciale.
My ST3 had those as standard, looked great at night, I'd love them on the G, seen some on ebay for ÂŁ70 but not gonna bother spending that just for the sake of it.
:)

Ouch!

Today I made an error, I scuffed a wheel, I did not swear or stamp my feet, I apologised to my car!
This is new to me, I have spent the last 4 hours looking up how I can fix it, Witch hazel won't cut it this time, however I'm now considering sticking a Race Chip in & getting the alloys powder coated to match the mirrors & door handles.
Is this normal?

Just finished fitting the winter boots, (well my garage did) with some perfect timing, overnight temps forecasted down to 2degC and I noticed the Summer tyres not gripping as well.

Talking of winter tyres, I've got a set on eBay at the moment that haven't shifted, so if anybody is interested I'd be happy to talk over a deal. They're up for £200 at the moment, but I'm getting fed up of them hanging around so make me an offer...… eBay item number 283235976123.

Will these fit over Brembos?

A big thanks to andypj, I picked up his set of alloys with winter tyres over the the weekend. He was kind enough to throw in a set of mats and some extra centre caps. It was a pleasure to deal with you Andy!

Agreed to trade the Giulietta in for it's bigger SUV sister, a new Stelvio. I'll miss it after eight and a half years of driving Giuliettas it's time to move on. Somebody will get a nice example when I move to the Stelvio later this month.

Been messing about with the interior, My Focus ST had ambient lighting which I really liked so I've been playing about with some.
Looks better in the flesh than in the pic.
:)
That looks spot on, really think the lighting doesnt half add a touch to the interior. Also i can see you fitted a multimedia system, if you dont mind my asking, was it easy to do ? how much where all the parts in total ?

any help on this would be grand :rotate:

lighting wise including the cable not even 20 quid, the radio was already in the car when I bought it (or a similar one) but I've seen the dash kits on ebay for about 150 quid I believe plus the radio cost of course.
It looks quite straight forward to convert it all. I've changed the stereo already and the kits are normally plug and play.

Thats good ! not bad pricing for that at all and a bit of elbow grease. Ahh right, that a good purchase then with that in doesn't half fit nicely in the dash. Have to look into the kits, definitely want to upgrade the infotainment system. Thanks for the info pal, really appreciate it.

What are the Osram's like ? i'm looking for brighter and blue tint light to sort of match the LED ones ?
Hi,

The Osram Cool Blue Intense 4200K gives a much white light, very close to the LED daylight running lights. Gave the car a good clean today & took a few photos of the lights but my phone didn't do a very good job showing how white the light is. Also recommend the Osram Night Breaker Laser +150% for main beam, makes a big difference to how far you can see up the road.

Nice.
Did you do the red insert update front and rear?
The latest grille would complement that.
The red inserts were already done when I bought it. I agree with you about the new grille, I think it would set the front end off really well [emoji106]
