I'm covering all of ROI now, and as has always been the case there's no reason why anyone else can't try to get a meet going

And if anyone wants to PM or email me about anything please do :)

Nice one Dave!

There is cars and coffee in Cherrywood Sunday 2nd November, for anyone who is interested. Can start a separate thread if needs be.

A tunnel run as suggested in for sale section is also good idea too. If anyone is planning on going through the tunnel just drop me a PM and I'll join you in the 350.

After 31st October, The only Italian car Ill have on the road is a very very scabby punto. It cost me less than the timing belt on the 166, Ive had it for 4 months and, no joke, Ive filled it with petrol 3 times. And just sailed through the NCT so at least its freeing up some cash

Complete strip down and rebuild of the 33 hopefully starts this winter. Its been parked up for 12 months now so needs some attention. The 166 is going to be tucked up for a couple of months while I track down some gremlins which keep throwing up random and completely unrelated faults as they see fit.

Looks like there's a good bit of potential interest for a meet, anyone want to suggest a date or a couple of dates to see if they work for most people.

I'm flexible with dates but these things generally work best, if there's a few weeks notice but not too long of a notice.

It's also a case of what people would prefer. A meet up in a scenic place, or the likes of the tunnel run that happened last year.
Personally id prefer a tunnel run some evening with a short meet up before hand followed by a bit of a chat etc afterwards. At least that way it doesn't feel so much like you've wasted a day, if only two or three turn up on a cold November morning.

I am planning to go to Cars n Coffee in Cherrywood on Sunday morning 7th December. Always some nice and interesting metal there. IIRC there was a good gathering of Alfas there at one meet earlier this year. Anyone else on for this?

Would be interested in a tunnel run also - anytime before my road tax expires on 31st December!

I'd love to hit Cherrywood on Sunday. Only problem is won't have the GT as a gentleman managed to pull out from a side road (thankfully in 10mph traffic) without seeing me and gave the nearside rear a good tap. No bodywork damage amazingly but the rear suspension is damaged (not sure of the extent), it's with don baker for assessment. Other driver admitted liability at least.

Sounds like you've been relatively lucky, hopefully it'll be sorted soon

****ty news Dan, hope you get fixed up quickly. As per Michael, +1 if you need a lift.

I have the 166 taxed again, but to my shame it's been so long since I was near it that the battery is so flat that even the led for the alarm is dead. Have it charging at the moment hoping that it'll be a case of plug and play tomorrow.
