I can't say the clutch is any different to any other car I've driven - it's less stiff than my 147, but has the same feel as most other things.

Initially I'd start with new fluid and a proper bleed, then go from there.

Any previous history of clutch/gearbox work??

 

Yea will do the new fluid and bleed by next week and will let you know how it is! Otherwise I am unaware of any clutch or gearbox work.

Yes it is the brera 2.2 unfortunately

 

Which engine have you got in your Brera? The clutch on the 2.2 is notorious for being a bit of a pain.

What is supposed to be so bad about the 2.2 clutch? My Spider one is perfectly normal - other than being very light, but that's more noticeable because one of my cars has an extremely heavy clutch. Other than that, it's just like any other clutch.

 

Pretty much on here - look down to the part on removing the battery - this is on a 2.4 but the principle is the same.

for the brake/clutch fluid? As I live in Ireland and the OEM stuff is expensive to get my hands on.

Also I am curious as to what is problematic with the 2.2 clutch?

Don't see why not, it's common DOT4 fluid, which is shared with the braking system, as in same reservoir (unless separate on the 2.2)you most likely won't need 5 litres though!
