After a few technical problems with this website I’m finally in and can introduce myself.
My user name is Getaway Driver; although I’ve never been involved in any criminal activity my driving style has been likened to that of a getaway driver. Only on a private road or race track of course.
I’ve always liked Alfa Romeo’s and when the 159 was launched I went along to my local dealership to have a look. I was taken by its striking looks and good build quality and decided then that I should own one. Several years passed and eventually in April last year I bought a second hand 159 2.4 Jtdm ti with metallic black paint and tan leather interior, perfect.
During my ownership the car has been mostly reliable and is always a pleasure to drive. However the car is on its 3rd EGR valve and has developed an annoying judder at low speed and has failed to start twice. This is no good for a getaway driver!
