Hi all.
Apologies if this has been asked and answered on a previous thread.
On Sunday i noticed that my car was not going into 4th gear and would go to 5th after a slight delay and some revving. This was the same then going from 5th - 3rd and avoiding 4th gear.
I took it to an independent Alfa specialist who plugged the diagnostics maching into the car and it came back with the clutch plunger needed adjusting. Turns out that Alfa have not been doing this on their services as it was 3-4mm out. This was adjusted however there is still an issue with the 4th gear. Also when in automatic, if the car thinks your going to slow for 5th but too fast for 3rd it goes into neutral which is scary and dangerous on the motorway so we now use it in manual mode.
The 4th gear sometimes works its about 50/50 for the time it works and doesnt.
The Accuator has a very slight leek that the alfa guy told me was nothing to worry about yet which is fine as i have seen the price of them.
has anyone else experienced this and know what the issue could be?
I am hoping it is not the gearbox or anything else like that otherwise i will have to sell it because the cost and the value of the car now.
