When the paint was pealing of my selespeed paddles the complete steering wheel was replaced by the dealership (under warranty). I have no idea if just a paddle can be replaced, but maybe David C knows.

I guess the assembly isn't very good - I have only 10k on my GTA SS and am getting a paddle replaced with exactly the same problem you have for the second time (first the down shift, now the upshift). Free under warranty and only takes about 10 minutes, but no idea what it would cost out of warranty.

 

Mine done under warranty as well. Apparently there are two micro switches in each paddle and the top one was replaced. Sorry its not much help to you but if you can get the paddle apart you might be able to take it to an electronics shop to match/repair the switch.

 

I had this issue more then once when I had my 147.

The 1st time had the whole steering wheel replaced.

On the 2nd Time That could actually fix the paddle.

On the 3rd steering wheel on our 147 SS for this reason. Somehow managed to con them into giving us a spare (brand new) steering wheel, too, which is sitting in the garage waiting for the current one to break.
