selespeed DIY paddle replacement

Has anyone on the list done their own diy replacement of the selespeed paddles on the 147? If so, is it an easy job?

My upshift paddle is failing fast, only 'clicking' if you press it on the very bottom edge. Pressing anywhere else requires a very  hard 'mushy' squeeze before it changes gear.

Any help appreciated...

I guess the assembly isn't very good - I have only 10k on my GTA SS and am getting a paddle replaced with exactly the same problem you have for the second time (first the down shift, now the upshift). Free under warranty and only takes about 10 minutes, but no idea what it would cost out of warranty.
