A couple of years ago, I bought a Series 4 Spider. Shortly after, I moved overseas, but kept the Spider stored at my Father in law's.
Having returned, the car which has been standing for several months, has a problem!
The gears engage when the engine is not running, but will not engage when the engine is running. The clutch pedal is excessively heavy. If I put the car in gear before starting the engine, I have control with the clutch pedal, but I cannot change gear!
Don't know if the heavy clutch indicates a problem with the slave cylinder and I have no idea why the gears are not engaging when the engine is running.
Can anyone help?
