Mito front cross member or roll bar?

Driving home the other week and was unfortunate enough to hit a dead animal in the outside lane of the dual carriageway at ~80mph.

Damage appeared to be just a broken wheel arch liner and broken front air dam. Having looked again at the underside of the car I noticed what might be a roll bar or cross member that is now bent on the passenger side at the front of the vehicle.

I have searched far and wide for a part number or an image of it to try and source a replacement but cannot find one anywhere.

Wondering if anyone here would be able to shed some light on the part, or point me in the right direction

Car is a Mito 1.4 16v 95hp

Same as most strut braces and similar items....you wont feel them on the road....and maybe not even on the track in a road car. Car are just not that flexible any more....fitting them to an old bendy 205 and it might be a different story. I think most perceived improvements are a placebo effect...no one wants to admit spending good cash and finding no improvement!

That is odd. Even my non sporty-driving cousin has recognised the bars immediately in her Corsa D, which has exactly the same subframe/chassis as the MiTo.
But I do not want to argue about this. Everyone can stick to their own impression/opinion. My impression is: they are worth the money. But no one has to buy them.

I like the look of that omp brace, directly between the wishbone mounts.
Just looking at the subframe it’s very easy to imagine the two halves pivoting around the central spar ( exactly what the very flimsy oe braces are designed to reduce )

I’d much rather beef up the lower mounts than bother with an upper strut brace. The top mounts are just so close to the bulkhead I have a hard time imagining any significant flex there at all under hard cornering, not like older cars where the turrets are separate pressings welded to flimsy legs floating half way down the engine bay.
