 love it!!
(sucks through teeth)> your spinning a bag of sugar (1kg) per tyre extra over the pilot super sports, but as you say, they are great value and still perform well with a funky tread pattern.

Hahah so you've started running the car on fumes like me too:cheese: people will start to talk, you'l be fitting a splitter like me too next!

Clogz the exhausts look fab! I like that they stick out a bit more than the standard ones as it will help keep my bumper cleaner! With that sound improvement it's a no brainier for me! I think like yourself I will keep the cat on. Loving the sessantas too! Right, I better get ordering the system! Would love to see/hear a vid of the car moving...

 now, now dear - you forgot to mention that you're running an extra 4kg of unsprung mass less per corner! Never mind 1kg per tyre - I'll deal with that once my brake discs have gone on an extreme bout of dieting!

Splitters,splitters....mmmhhh, let's wait and see what the postman brings this week... ;)

Cheers Stef - they remind me a bit of 'gun barrels'. I like them and I like the sound better still. Not sure at the moment how to talk the wife into filming my speeding car whilst managing the pram... :cheese: I'll see if I can think of something. In the meantime suggestions on a postcard! :D

I knew it wouldn't be long before we had a Northern county vs Essex thread! :p

Great work Clogz, and great to see the amazing 5 pot being freed of all restrictions and showing those 3.2 boys what its all about! She looks lovely too sat tight on those Ultras!

Might have to get myself another one, and see if I can give you two a run for your money!

@mikeyrules: thanks mikey pleased to hear you're enjoying the thread. You've got this north vs essex all wrong though...:) more like north + Essex for a better Brera!
Still searching for more stallions - keep watching the thread as more will be added!

@jamesjunior: I'm planning to do a bit more footage once the Decat goes on - maybe I can convince the wife somehow... The thing is that it is very difficult to capture the sound properly. The video I made doesnt really show the sound of the exhaust. In reality it is actually much nicer than on the vid. I was told the decat will make it sound better again and add some stallions...

Well if you manage to get an in-car video that picks up the exhaust noise I am sure there are lots of 2.4 owners who would love to hear it.

Bet you are delighted with the results so far.

BTW, in your first post did I see you expressing dissatisfaction at getting MPG of 'only' high 30s?!

My average so far is about 25 mpg - I would give a kidney to be averaging over 35 MPG!!!

I'll try and record some on-board exhaust noise sounds this weekend and see what the recording sounds like. If it's any good I'll post it.

Before the Alfatune remap and DPF removal I managed about 36~37mpg on my daily comute but now I manage easily 43mpg...some days more depending on how heavy my foot is.

I said the North vs South thing to poke at James lol... We have history... (Love you really James Bond Smith! :p)

Yes great thread fella, and will follow it with interest! I miss my 2.4's, so am still toiling whether to buy another, and you guys are re-lighting my fire... Shame they stopped making it, as the 2.0 jtdm just isn't the same.

Thanks Mikey! Good to hear you're enjoying the threads and it's rekindling your interest. Reading james' thread is how I got into it - I only wanted a tuning box...
2.0jtdm Brera is a waste of time! - Even a standard 2.4jtdm isn't enough...I'd be happy with a 300bhp Brera though....

Plenty more coming on my thread to keep everybody interested!

Get your engine temps down if you can. JB's re-shuffle of the intercooler, and going bigger was fundamental to how it is now... It will deffo help you in your quest!

Or there's alway a shot of dry nitrous into the air intake if you CBA with the above! :p

Oh, I wonder what could possibly be in this box...

I'll go and check it out and see if there's something in there for modding...

White box mystery resolved!

Evening my diesel friends,

Well, it's been a busy day after the contents of the mystery white Novitec box was resolved... Some serious modding had to take place! :)

Finally my front splitter arrived this week - both myself and James ordered one and mine ended up on backorder. I can just imagine Alfisti having had this splitter on the shelf for 2 years without selling and then suddenly 2 orders to England within 2 days...

Anyway, fitting the splitter was very easy. I just put the car on axlestands and whipped undertray off. Then I used some clamps to test-fit the splitter and line it up with the front bumper. Once I was happy with it all I drank some Dutch tea for courage and got the drill out. :D

The results can be seen in the pics below - enjoy!

Any chance of a vid of the new exhaust on the move? Spoke to gus Saturday, going to order Monday :D
Hi stefano,

You won't regret it - the exhaust sounds great!

I did try and sort out some sound clips but the quality was rubbish...
But don't worry, the car will be back on the dyno in a couple of weeks and I'll make a movie then of the car with the engine flatout under full load singing it's song!

The only thing that I was worried about was the amount of whistle I could hear from the turbo on your vid. Having said that you could heR the whistle on standard in your vid.just down to poor sound quality? Also since I'm fitting myself, was any cutting required o fit the new exhaust after the cat?
