I'm having a bad run of late with the latest bill running to €1800 
. So any advice or thoughts welcomed
In October 09 I noticed water in the pasenger footwell. Checked the forum here and saw that its a common enough complaint. I didn't go get it sorted straight away and a few days later the car wouldn't start first thing in the AM (imobilizer error). I called the garage and they arranged for a tow. By the time it got to the dealership the car was starting again. I suggested that given the water in the car it may be related to my starting issues. They rejected this and couldn't find any reason why it wouldn't start as they couldn't replicate the fault.
2 weeks later after a drop in overnight tempeture the car woudn't start in the morning giving the same error. I called the garage and this time they sent a guy out with diagnostics to identify and clear the fault. He did this and the car started. I brought the car in later that day and left them to it. They believed there was an intermitent electrical fault and set about checking the wiring. This showed up nothing and they began looking at the engine to discover it was "coked" up and reckoned this was the casue. They quoted €1500 to clean the engine, ECR valve etc, but this would include the timing belt and water pump change which would be due shortly (43K on the clock). Reluctently I agreed to this with the timing belt change giving me some solace that I'd be paying it anyway this year. Got the car back 2 days later and everything was fine until the following week.............
Again there was another drop in tempeture overnight and the car wouldn't start - same errors. This time I called roadside assistance they came out said the battery was dead gave me a jump and sent me on my way. The garage replaced the battery FOC. At this stage I was having it out with the dealer principal with little joy!
Things have been fine since until yesterady. I got an engine control system failure and took it to another dealer as I aint going to deal with the original again. They found an air intake issue pointing towards the turbo. They've stripped down the car and discovered oil leaking through the seal into the turbo and the air regulator is drenched in oil - €1800 to sort out
I'm wondering if this could be related to the work down to decoke the car as the turbo would have been removed ? If so do I have any recourse with the original dealer
