Hi there,
Looking at getting Ragazzon Central and Rear for my GTV TS.

The options I was thinking of were:
Small Central Silencer
Full Central Silencer
Silenced Rear
Unsilenced Rear

Trying to work out which would provide the best sound. Don't want too loud, but want it to sound much deeper and raspier than the stock exhaust.

Which options do you think would be best? Currently thinking Small Central Silencer and Unsilenced rear?

I would just make sure you get a silenced centre as rear silencers tend not to do as good job of noise cancellation as centre silencers. So I would go silenced centre with un-silenced rear personally

I have a Ragazzon rear silencer on my TS with standard everything else, the car is not too noisy and passed the MOT with no issues, since fitting it the car seems to rev more freely, the noise off throttle is as quiet as stock, however I would say its more boomy than expected and does not rasp like I hoped. It's not an unpleasant sound and the twin pipe looks much better than the standard oval. The boom can be a little tiring though so on balance given the I choice again I would have stuck with stock.

I have the unsilenced middle on my Twinnie and it's not loud at all, it does sound good though! ! I am going to replace the 1st silencer with a pipe next and probably keep the 2 rear boxes depending on the result of the 1st box removal.

It's actually an unsilenced, straight through centre pipe coupled to a silenced rear section. This was my original setup on my V6. Good deep hum on start up, but lacks Busso roar on full tap. Switched to silenced centre box to unsilenced Ragazzon Quad rear... Perfect!! Deep hum on idle with a belting sound through the range.

You'll only experience the ultimate sound with the V6.

Yes that would be the exhaust. You would normally hear the induction roar when you floor it. with just the normal centre box and an unsilenced rear you will get a deeper sportier sound but its not that much louder than stock (i think its perfect)
If I want to scare the neighbours I take my little Frogeye out. Now that has a racing exhaust and if I floor it while starting it in an underground car park I can set car alarms off!

I have a Ragazzon (Alfisti edition) centre section, with a stock rear and it sounds really, really nice IMO. It cruises very well but is gruff and raspy when you want it to be.

I originally had the centre section in tandem with a 2x70mm unsilenced Ragazzon rear and it was just comically loud - sounded good when really pressing on, but too much like a ****box Corsa around town.

Changed to a Biscione Racing (made by Ragazzon) 128x80 silenced rear section - it was almost as loud but seriously 'farty' and just sounded poop. So I sold that too.

Try an unsilenced centre with a stock (or heavily damped SS) rear section. It sounds really good and doesnt drone at all when cruising.

i have no middle and just the 2 rear, sound perfect, little warble on start up, quiet at motorway cruising, then throwty on mid to high acceleration.
Been pratting about with a cheap exhaust for over a year now with differant set ups. rear of, rear on, both rear of middle on, it goes on settled on above, straight through from manifold to back 2 boxes, no middle or cat. + also removed and blanked off the resonator made it more driveable in these 20mph zones that are poping up every were.

Yes, I'm often posting the easiest & cheapest way to improve the sound is just by fitting an unsilenced Ragazzon rear........I prefer the single side exit with straight twin tail pipe.

Actually the easiest & cheapest is to just take off the complete rear section, consisting of 2 silencers & throw it away! Did it yesterday to a V6 that had a blocked exhaust due to the centre section silencer's internals disintegrating & blocking the next silencer to the point where the engine couldn't rev! The centre section's existing silencer is now rather 'free flowing' & it sound's the dog's....bit illegal though with no tail pipe.
