Yeah, I suffered that problem with some ill fitting mats from Hellfrauds :lol:

We've all done it !

A few years I was running a BX diesel and in an effort to get a bit more umph out of it used to floor the accelerator really hard. This had the opposite effect than the desired one. The pedal was only mounted and pivoted on one side, the cable itself was an awful design due to the LH to RH drive conversion and the end result was that the accelerator mounting bracket just bent downwards so removing a lot of movement.

You could often see me at about 60 mph bent down trying to lever the pedal bracket back up again, not good !
