I have not heard of this fault much on the Giulia but on the US forum a couple of instances were caused by a faulty electronic throttle body but in you case that has already been changed. It could be a vacuum leak on the intake system which they should be able to check. Another issue could be the throttle position sensor.

I did mention about a vacuum leak, but they said it would be happening all the time.

Hi,
I did get it resolved after 5 visits to the dealer, they ended up getting an alfa super tech in to fix it, it was a solenoid on the intake sticking, not sure exactly which one, it’s been ok ever since.

The dealer has been changed engine control unit after 35 days and nothing solved.

They will try to find different solution and I also share dear @platespinner 's experience with them.

 

There should still be a tech case at alfa tech support in the history for the error code, a uk alfa super tech new what the problem was with mine & came to the dealer to fix it while they watched😬
