Found this whilst rummaging on pinterest. Its from a French Auto magazine. Will try to link the article if I can translate it. There weren't any other pictures.

I think I like it. Obvious links to the Giulia.

It's a retouch of a rescaled Giulia on a press release picture. This represents the supposed replacement which would have to be well progressed by now to meet the theoretical launch date. I'd be surprised if this ever happened from what I've heard. As I've said before the Rover that never happened was a smaller 75 in the same principle but would have been almost as expensive and have to sell for less...
Just as BMW move to fwd Alfa goes Rwd for its new Giulietta!

This is the French sister publication of UK's Auto Express and the picture is a QV variant from a different angle to pictures by the same artist they ran in the UK (and German) magazines a while back. This picture to appear in UK edition very soon I would not be surprised.

The references to RWD are, I believe, journalistic speculation. A question was asked as to whether the next generation car would be RWD and the answer was that it COULD. Could, not would. But in the same interview the point was made that the current platform has life in it (so a replacement car could be a new bodyshell on the existing platform ala the the new Ford Fiesta for 2017). I also know of another journalist who was fed a story that there would not be a Mito or Giulietta replacement directly, but a new small crossover to replace the Giulietta.

All of course speculation. The only definite is the Giulia, and the SUV with working name Stelvio that is supposedly going to make an appearance / be available in 2017. If there is a replacement Giulietta before 2018 I would be very surprised.

Good summary Cup. There is no money. Certainly not a plan for this new car according to people who know. The current car is moving downmarket due to lack of investment and competitors are established and progressing. Much cheaper to print a retouch than produce a new car !
