MrCyphers Mito

Put the mito on the dyno yesterday -

had the usual issue of not being able to get it to stay in dynamic mode - they even tried bypassing the ecu but it still kept kicking it into normal

so results in normal mode was 188.8 bhp and 196.4 lbft - very pleased with this as in dynamic must be looking at around 210 lbft?

Pull the ABS fuse out... You won't be able to engage dynamic then but at least traction control won't keep kicking in...

I had the Abarth SS on a Dyno and it made 136bhp at the wheels with TC kicking in. Was only told later to pull the ABS fuse... So will go back and try again..

More than decent figures for the MQV tho...

all system disengage after front wheels been rotating a minute anyway on the mito, so no need to pull any fuse or disconnect anything :) but then kicks it into normal which sucks .

thats why after he tried to go straight into ecu and bypass it , as soon as he went into it and disabled assist it still chucks it into normal.

so theres no real way to get it to do it in dynamic unless you can find a RR where all the rear rollers match the speed of front rollers ( do they exist? )

but yea decent figures anyway :D made a MK V R32 golf look silly ;)

What mods have you go on the car?

Sounded great with headphones on. Lots of funny noises. So, are you going to let us know what secret mods you've done? What exhaust is that? :)

Cheers ;)

Just do it , ride is a little firmer but feels so much more stable and planted through corners and looks much better ( ideally this is how it should of come standard)

im just waiting on spacers now to get it sat more flush, a little to much tuck for my liking at mo :D

That's what i wanted to hear, without taking your thread off topic are there any problems with the active suspension? Im guessing there shouldn't be but would be worth knowing if there was anything before i got it done :).

I done a search but most of the threads were people *****ing with each other so not much help

Well ive had no lights show up or warnings ( touchwood )

i think only time u get problems is if u go below a certain height or u damage a sensor/cable

Me n mate fitted them with not much problems just odd size tools that seem to be needed to undo everything.

That's great, thanks  i really like the alloys on mine & i really like the multispokes like you have so if i do lower it i may even change the alloys too. Just to give it a slightly difrent look :) so far though i've only seen a few that suit the MiTo so will have to see. Your MiTo sounds pretty good too

Just had another dyno today since having sports cat n induction

it managed 191.8 bhp n 198.6 fblt (in normal again)

Had to take fuse out this time as it wouldnt disable anything, bloody car...

Seem to be losing some boost low down compared to last time but higher up range is ok, so may have a small boost leak as i was expeting better gains.
