Not sure what engine you are but on my V6 it was worth buying a set of droplinks as they connect to the front shocks. Other than that you dont need to consider anything else with the job in particular.

Not sure on a twinny though if its the same arrangement.

Upgraded front anti-rollbar for the extra giggles in the bends!
The fiat coupe anti rollbar is just plug and play. :lol:

 

I would get the garage to tackle any corrosion that's up in the turrets and waxoyl

 

Thanks for the advice so far, I'm slightly confused by the drop links, there seems to be two different products advertised as the front drop links, there is: Short Stubby ones and Long Z shaped ones ??

 

Most worn parts are the lower control arms which are cheap to replace. Had mine replaced with shocks. That was the main advice I got. Upper control mounts etc don't wear that much

 

Short stubby ones Ash, but the lot were replaced last year so save you dosh.

Strut top mounts, though they are annoyingly expensive to replace if you dont have to, but you can only really tell how bad they are when off the car, and to replace them later you need to strip the whole strut down again.

Also replace the strut dust boots.

Dont forget to order new rubber boots for the struts as well. the shocks have to come off to fit them and the old ones have probably disintegrated

 

Depends on how carried away you get!! New shock boots and clean up the turrets as suggested plus check over wishbones and drop links.

I got a bit carried away but at least I'm beginning to put it back together after 2 months on axle stands on the drive! :lol:
