Hi all,

Had my lovely Giulietta now for 5 weeks or so and I love it. Especially when putting into Dynamic!

Anyway, yesterday the mileage started flashing at me. I tried turning off etc but it's still doing it. Same this morning, still flashing.

I've done some reading about it and people suggesting it's something to do with the AC perhaps? It does need a recharge but is working. However the Blue and Me has compeltey stopped working. Press the button on the dash and nothing. Plugging in my phone by USB doesn't do anything. No charge, no connection.

All the other radio controls etc work like normal. It was working perfectly fine before yesterday.

Any help or advice would be massively welcomed!

Cheers

You can either do it yourself, if you have the soft- and hardware, see f.i. Multiecuscan - Diagnostics software for Italian cars
or via the dealer.

It's a relatively simple process whereby you plug a tester into the OBD port/connector, read the error and execute a command to scan all the devices on the CAN bus
(CAN bus is the in-car network through which a lot of the devices in the car communicate)

This is of course assuming nothing is actually defective (such as blue&me), otherwise that will of course need to be fixed......

Sometimes it's just a matter of a glitch/lost sync, that can be solved by simple proxy alignment (= Reacquainting and resyncronising all devices on the bus with the controlling computer (bodycomputer) )

I am unsure. I can't find any receipts for a new one. I've seen a few people suggest disconnecting and reconnecting battery?

I have an Alfa specialist near me. I assume they would also be able to do this?

flashing odo means there is change in set of units seen by can bus vs one programmed during proxi alignment. may be b&m unit not resonding to be the reason, since you reported this stopped working.

disconnecting and connecting battery may help in case b&m hanged up for good (pre first facelift giulietta ones ares till windows ce based, as far as i know)

I would check also fuses, there are 2 for b&m unit one direct 12v f36 and other through ignition f51.

thats for start. if you wont solve it that way, then maybe cabling get damaged, connector makes no contact or unit died (rather unlikely)
