Anyone else done it? I'm mostly worried about the cables for the climate control.

I'm assuming a 156 as that is what he drives 
Has it been done probably, but you will struggle to get the info center to work off the ecu unless you change that too. Which would probably have to be done for all the other bits to work (climate control etc)
I would personally fit the dash and seats and put the old vents top back in (or make a screen for the sat nav!
