central locking and door catch

HELP HELP HELP !!! hi Guys and Girls please help me ive had to leave my 2007 3.2 GT with the door litterally open this morning ! when i go to unlock with fob the doors unlock for a second and then lock them selves again you can get in if your quick and it will start and run but the doors are still locked however i cant get the fuel cover to open and now the latch on the door itself seems to have dropped down and i cant get it to go back up so the drivers door just bounces back if you try to shut it so now the car is on my drive at home 20 miles way from my work with the door actually open as i cant shut it any good ideas please would be much appreciated thanks in advance Doc !??? :(:cry::cry:

Sounds obvious, but presumably one of the door catches is sticking. I guess only the driver's door has a key actuated lock, but it could be worth trying to lock and unlock with the key rather than the remote fob. Also worth getting one of those WD40 aerosol cans with an extension tube, and squirting down into the door in the direction of the locking mechanism.

If that doesn't work its going to be a question of stripping off the door card to establish just what is sticking.

Hi RGWM thanks for the response door will close now (been sorted a while just not been on here ) but still having issues with the central locking , the drivers window is not shutting fully and the dash keeps telling me the drivers door still open when obviously its not and i assume because of this the window is not closing up the lsat inch when door shuts any remidies or what should i be looking to replace if anything?? all answers welcome guys and girls :)
