  1. Alfa 164 & 166
Hi All, collected my 166 last weekend and drove home without problem. (3.0 auto) Parked in garage for the week, now I find the battery is dead, so I cannot open the boot. And the only key is jammed in the ignition. Is there any other way to release the boot please? Regards Richard

We generally havent used the dash top compartment much on our 2010 Giuletta, but today whilst sticking a pair of sunglasses in there my Mrs managed to break the catch and now the lid doesn't stay closed. It looks like the bit broken off was on the lid part and was a very thin poor quality piece...

Sportwagon rear seat catch broken So, due to combination of not being careful when carrying a load with the seats down and bad luck the catch mechanism of the right rear seat is now broken and the seat will not lock in the up position. Unfortunately, someone @Alfa thought it would be a good...

Most bizarrely part of the roof catch to manually hook the hood down and leaver it closed has snapped. The metal just perished and now I can't close my roof completely. I have (hopefully) ordered the right part but I'm not exactly sure how to fit it. I've still got the pin from the original so...

So I’ve finally managed to get the can fitted after waiting ages for some of the part! After struggling to find an ideal location (I know I’ll get some questions and concerns on this?) but I decided to encapsulate some bolts through the cover and reinforced the area with Q-Bond. If I had any...

Most of the parts arrived today so I’ve made a start, first off baffles for the can - I’ve added some pics if you could give me some pointers, do’s & dont’s it would help? 1) cut some s/s mesh to shape to give me a table to sit the scourer onto, this also gives me a 40mm sump at the bottom of...

Hi, I am going to get one of these and then get the throttle body cleaned out. I would just like to see some photos of others installed catch cans so I can see how it to install one myself. Also if you could state the model of can or a link to it, that would be great. And what are the little...

Have anyoned fitted an oil catch can to their QV? Or other Giuliettas for that matter. I was thinking of fitting one to my QV, since it's a small petrol engine which runs quite a lot of boost. As far as I understand, those types of engines generally benefit from it the most. But I don't know if...

Hi everyone, I'd like to mount an oil catch can, but I'm not sure how to feed the hose or hoses back to the engine. According to the photo (red lines are hoses, box is an oil catch can): 1. Why is there a valve at location 1 and no valve at location 2? What is the purpose of this valve? Valve...

alright you 'orrible lot! who wants to teach this guy <-- all about catch cans? our beloved JTDm is the first dizzle car ive dealt with in any capacity. (I'm more of a truck man you see). so whilst boost, VNTs, DPFs, Cats, EGRs, adblue, etc etc are all stuff I'm familiar with for some reason...

I have a 3.2 GTV that has just had its 12th Birthday and has covered just under 50k miles. Last year I had it re-sprayed as the original red had gone the usual several shades of purple and in the course of that work the sill covers came off to reveal extensive corrosion to the inner sill on the...

Hi guys, having just bought my Mito cloverleaf, I'm sorting out the few little niggles it had. One being, the bonnet catch seems to have come adrift from it's location. The bonnet cable is still attached to the handle, but it's come away from the round turning screw thing on the trim. I know i...

Hi all, Annoying issue, I was just finishing working on the car when I went to shut the bonnet, dropped it from half height and as it landed I heard a snap. Turns out somehow the catch may not have been properly in place and has snapped the release catch almost completely off, luckily I can...
