I live in Surbiton, just outside of Kingston Town in London. Got my first Alfa, a 156 because my brother had one from new in 2000 and I really liked it so I got one of my own.
It was a rushed buy and I bought a bit of a lemon - but have sorted out most of its problems - but now I have gearbox problems - it never ends!
I can't engage gears with the engine running. Got fluids and the clutch grabs at the right height, and with the engine off the linkage and selection seems fine. But start the car and thats it for selecting gears - I suspect a faulty friction plate - something I read somewhere. Am hoping to get a better idea and then get cracking in sorting it out!
Anyone else had anything along these lines?
