Hi, im trying to change my crankshaft position sensor for my 2007 147 2.0 ts alfa with this guide

How to replace the crankshaft sensor on an Alfa romeo TS or JTS engine

But on the first picture where it says to unclip the brown plug, I cant find it anywhere. Ive tried to google and find information about changing the crankshaft position sensor and all I find is find the brown plug and follow it. I attached a picture of what that position looks like in my alfa. Im guessing that wire without the clip is for the crankshaft position sensor. Why is it like that and what do I have to do?

Its my first time ever trying to do something myself and holy **** my head is about to explode :irked:

On your engine the brown plug is close to the sensor itself. Find the sensor, and there is the connector. You need a sensor without cord.

I'm doing an engine transplant and had a couple of spare connectors left over. Turned out the new engine had a crank sensor with lead and the old engine had the crank sensor with out a lead, so there was a connector coming out of the loom with no-where to go. Who would guess that? Worth bearing in mind when buying replacement engines as you may have to replace the sensor simply because it's different.
