Hi all,

Sadly yesterday i got my xenon bulb blown. As i see we have to take out the whole headlight (bummer) but what should i look for replacing the bulb that blown?
What are the factory specs? so far i see they are H7, but what about the color warmth (kelvins)? what comes factory?
Other things i should look for?

Thanks!

Oh no no, i just assumed its H7.
So its DS1 factory. huh lucikly i asked the question haha.
Thanks Geroge and Symon!

What are the Kelvins on them? i managed to find one DS1 bulb with 6000k but cant find anywhere on the internet the orginal amount so the new one matches.

I just checked the place headlights and will probably change both with 2 new d1s (either 4300k or 5000k depending on what i find)
But on the passenger side i see i have a ballast attached to the headlight. This is not on the drivers side where there is just the round cap i usually see on videos.

Anyone has any idea what this is? Factory or aftermarket? and why only on one side  ?
The ballast and Headlight seem to be the same manufacturer

I have the same winking Giulietta situation on the right side as well, and also looks like there is this metal ballast on the right headlamp. The left side was changed a few years back with Xenon lamp with part number '71779057', and has the plastic cover. That part number does not specify the color temperature, but I am guessing it would be the standard one. Is the standard 4300K?

I would try to check it myself, but worried to get an electric shock :) You say you did not take out the headlights. Is it safe enough to take out the fuses and unscrew this metal ballast with bare hands?

That ballast will be for the LEDs. I'm guessing the xenons are controlled by this module or something like it.

That is the xenon lights ballast (control module) which must dual control the LEDs as well.
Edit: Looking at the xenon headlights on ebay there is a ballast on both so I'm a bit confused whether they work with one or two .

That's only the LED driver. Xenon ballasts are under each light and are a small metal tin. In total for factory xenon lights you will have the LED driver, and then two xenon boxes.
