I have an Alfa 147 selespeed (2005) and after I turn off the engine i get two beeps from what sounds like the glove box, this i am guessing is a warning of some kind?

I don't know if it helps at all but my GT does something similar when I remove my keys from the ignition after shutting off the engine from a long drive. Just a quiet bleep as the interior light comes on, mine's always done it so I've never thought anything more of it. I don't think it's a warning sound but it's worth giving your Alfa dealership a quick call if in doubt.
..I should just say: it's not just after a "long" drive - it always does it when I shut the engine off. It's only a very quiet bleep though, is that what yours is doing?
no it is different, it is two definate beeps after the engine is switched off and the amount of time the engine is on does not seem to effect......
i cannot remeber if it has always done it but I have tried turning everything else off before turning the engine off and putting in it neutral (selespeed) to make sure it is not that and it still makes the beeps........
if the car is in neutral and you turn it off, then you get beeps to tell you that no gear is engaged, try turn it off with a gear engaged and see, this what happens in my car.
when you turn your alfa on/off you can heaer all sorts of quiet electrical gubbins whirring away. thats all normal.
in your selespeed, always switch off in first gear, read your manual!
