Shocks

£55 for a PAIR of brand new shocks (front) for a 2.0 TS - 10 pairs available.

Nothing to do with me - I was looking for ones for my V6. These are not compatible but I thought you lot would like to know.

Why would you want to go through the expense of fitting cheap shocks to your 916 Alfa Romeo?

The OE shocks (Boge) are bad enough, but to fit Monroe (which are not much better) is just plan silly. And if they supply you with even more obscure, cheap rubbish, then you're mad.

Each to their own I suppose:rolleyes:

Who here has used and tried these shocks? Did it occur to anyone that they may be better than OE? I mean quite frankly, that wouldn't be very hard. :D

Cheaper and better... too good to be true? you never know unless you try.

It's not worth trying:lol:

This is not to imply that you need to buy Koni Sports adjustables, or Bilsteins, which are admittedly quite expensive. KYB have a growing reputation, and their Gas shocks are reportedly extremely good, and a very good price!

Just remember the fronts are struts and are a bit of a pain to replace (the rears are much easier). So it's worth upgrading the suspension on your 916 Alfa, rather than fitting inferior shocks, when your OE shocks need replacing.

But if you want me to plug Koni Sports adjustables and Eibach springs, then I will, as the handling and ride and comfort are transformed, and are well worth it:thumbs:

Strange indeed! I have been reading around the net about monroe shocks and it seems they would be similar to the quality of the OE shock. It seems there are mixed views with them.
