Autolusso RE02 EKP 3.8 sequential Build Thread

Following the problems I have had with my black sportwagon I am starting again and this time with a very special 156 GTA. For those that don't know this was the original 156 GTA used in Top Gear driven by Vicki Butler-Henderson

This is not going to be as simple as we thought, we are having to make changed to the gear selector and make a difference mounting bracket for the slave

All doable

Had a bit of a hold up on this as the gearbox had to go back to Quaife for a couple of slight design changes, the selector is now coming out the front of the box as there was not going to be enough room at the back with the sub frame etc

Engine is back in and we are working out the cable length etc so will probably need to come out again, we will see

Also you will see we are still going with the remote oil cooler but this time we are using steel braided teflon oil cooler pipes

Note the temporary clutch slave bracket as the location of the slave had to be changed

New slightly longer gear cable arrived today and now it fits and works, the feel of the gear shift is really definite, feels great I can't wait to drive it and start slamming it through the gears :biglaugh::biglaugh:

Still a lot to do but I am sure it will all be up and running next week

Yer this fast gear change is going to sound fantastic though your Wizard exhausts so bet you are

I literally can not wait, felt the gear change today for the first time, it is going to be full throttle, bang - bang - bang though the gears no let off :thumbup::thumbup:

Just been for the first test drive with the sequential, this is not going to be for everyone but it is fantastic, the gearchange is so unbelievably fast and direct

It makes the car feel a lot faster and aggressive

Car is back in the workshop now to check the levels etc

More work tomorrow
