Are the intake runners different on the 240bhp versions?

Or maybe another difference inside the intake plenum chamber?
Plenum & runners on the non-GTA 3.2 are the same as the ones on the 3.0 V6, runners are same diameter. I don't think anything is different inside the plenums between the two versions, they are pretty much the same size and they are both just hollow inside..

The exhaust systems are different on all of the cars though, as is the intake pipework from the throttlebody to the outside air intake. That could account for something.

hi guys its me neil from njs and yes the camtools used on all 3.2 engines are the same however they are different from 2.5 & 3.0 engines, anyone with a 3.2 who has there cam timing set with the other tools will have had it set wrong ! fact

Part of me thinks they should thank themselves lucky it was set with camlocks at all, the amount of V6s we're getting in with snapped belts (mostly old 2.5 V6s) that have tippex on the pullies is beyond a joke. Some people should not be allowed to work on Alfas at all

Dan, what sort of mileage do they usually snap at?

As for the Tipp-ex, there was an article in car mechanics mag in 2006 that suggesting using tipp-ex on the belt in conjunction with the cam locks.

I can't possibly scan the article and email it to you (copyright reasons), so if you don't PM me your e-mail address I won't. ;);)
