In our old house I'd put some golden syrup on a plate and place it on the floor. I'd then put ant powder around the plate and leave over night. Had about 200-300 dead ants on the floor in the morning.

Did this for three nights and on the fourth there were no ants. Job done. :thumbs:

I got two cats who will either gorge on the syrup or kill themselves by eating the ant poison :lol:

 

Don't mess with powders ,syrups or boiling water down the holes. This is the stuff you need. Dethlac, the name says it all. Spray it around the house as instructed and you won't see another ant all summer.

It's nearly time here too. A liberal dose of powder in the spring usually sorts them.

 

My Aunt has the same problem with ants, the exterminator has been called in. There are so many ants, the house has to be shrouded to kill them all

 

I found an ant on my desk this morning ... I got rid of it ...

 

I don't get any in the house....just the odd small ant 'house' in the garden.....my hap hazard excursions with the mower sort those out :lol:
