Remaps don't do much - 5-7% which is not really noticeable on the road apart from maybe a bit better throttle response.

Becareful with exhaust mods or you'll end up with lots of boom and loss of low down torque. I've just removed some cheapish aftermarket rear boxes from my Brera for this very reason. I might refit them if I get round to fitting some Mace cams when they may start working.

If your brakes are poor the pads may have seized - Brembos are notorious for this. I also recently changed the pads to Brembos with a good improvement in braking. Not sure what had been fitted by the previous owner, but they were poor when cold and only good when very hot.
