I know that this is a fairly common problem but maybe someone can help me to sort this one out. When I open either front door both door open lights come on the dash panel, no problem because closing the door puts both lights out.
But ! the bonnet and boot warnings are permanently lit, can't pin this down to any event and now I can't use my brand new Meta alarm fobs for central locking.
So far I have removed and cleaned the bonnet microswitch and its connection. The dash light stayed on throughout. Bridging the connector with a paperclip made no difference.
So far I have not looked at the boot switch though I think I have located it in the boot lid near the latch.
