...was the response I got when I slammed the brakes on to avoid hitting a stupid woman who had approached a give way junction leading onto the road I was driving down and instead of giving way decided that as I'd looked at her she could pull out.

I skidded a few feet and gave her a blast of the horn and she wound her window down and shouted angrily, "you saw me" as if my ability to see was in some way a tacit acceptance that she could flagrantly disregard the sign and just do what the **** she wanted.

I'm quite proud of myself though, I didn't get out of my car and have a rant...

Again, another instance were a leightweight SIIIA Landy would prove a good car
to be in....?

Yes you did see her which is why you avoided smashing into the silly bint as she pulled out into oncoming traffic :mad:

Ah- maybe not. A Triumph 2000 one hit me when I was driving one (some years ago!). The Landy bumper ( "C"-section galvanised steel) was bent through 90 degrees nearly but there was no mark on the Triumph. It may have disintegrtaed 2 miles down the road but the driver was good enough to let the prang pass and not do anything about it.

Maybe drive a Triumph 2000 ?
