I have found in France and more generally in Europe that once the natives spot GB plates they give you a lot more space and give way to you. That may equally be down to the psychotic expression I adopt when driving on the continent of course. aranoid:

Does it depend where in France? I've always found driving in Paris (admittedly usually in hire cars) much easier if you wind the window down, turn up the stereo and drive like a local. Certainly makes the peripherique better.
