Started her up this morning after 2 days of no use, greeted by this message.

Looks like a new glow plug or two is required. Will drop into SimplyAlfas on the 29th. Hope its not too wallet emptying.........

I get this from time-to-time, don't be so quick to stick your hand in your pocket....you might not see that alert again for months.

It has happened the last 4 start ups, as long as the car has dropped in engine temp the warning comes up. If re-starting after a short break it doesn't light up.

Will see what tomorrow brings!

the glow plugs only work when the temp gets below 5c I belive thats why it dont always show but if we get a cold snap you could be stuck ;)

Number 2 glow plug replaced. All back to normal now. Just don't like the warning lights on the dash!

Thats nothing. My old megane reported glow plug failure as 'injection system fault' or something. The cost of new injectors was more than the car was worth!

Long story short I put 4 new glow plugs in and bobs your dads brother. Took about 20 mins to replace all four.
Nearly cried when I thought my car was a scrapper!
