Hey guys.

I installed two HID Xenon Kits in my car yesterday. It looks fantastic, if I do say so myself!! However, I now need white bulbs for my park/side lights. The bulbs Im looking for are H6W with offset pins. Anyone know where I can find white bulbs like these?

LED H6W bulbs with the 180 degree pins do fit, barely, but dont work properly and throw up an error. A friend of mine said I could maybe splice a resistor in before the park light so the LEDs would work?

Im looking for something similar to these:

H6W BAX9 9mm Offset Pins - by Ultra Leds U.K

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2x-White-5-SMD-5050-150-Offset-pins-BAX9s-H6W-LED-Bulbs-/250858925438

The online prices are a bit steep and Im afraid to order them just in case they dont work.

Any ideas?

MSV, I haven't installed such a system but I have researched it thoroughly, the LED's you wish to buy will work, specifically those for the 147/156. They have similar resistances to the normal bulbs and therefor do not throw out error codes.

Where did you buy your xenon kits from? I have not been able to find a reputable supplier in SA. And how did you perform your installation? How are the balasts mounted? Any pix?:D

Hi Ian. Thanx for the reply. I bought a set of the LEDs, but when I put one in, there was a "Side Light Failure" error and the bulb went on and off on its own. I'll give it another shot though.

We found a guy in Durban that is amazing. We have ordered over 20 kits from him already without a problem and they are EXTREMELY cheap!! I can post his details in the "Parts and Services" thread if you like?

The installation was major work! It was very simple on my friends 145, but thanx to my AC pipes and an aftermarket filter, access to my lights was too restricted, so the whole bumper had to come off! I'm not at home now, so I'll post a few pics as soon as I can.

Wil find you some on e-bay and post here it can be fixed by soldering in a resistor and even protect the glope from surges. Can you messure orriginal glope resistance and voltage in comparrison to led glope when on.

It's not too bright... don't worry. I've tested it with my dad and a few friends. The light is very intense, but not really annoying.
hehe I guess we can let you off the hook then...

You can not use them for bights since the react to slow for flashing and will not last if used like that.
So you can actually do it but its not a good idea.

Hahaha. Dankie Gertie.

You should be able to angle them a bit lower in town driving to compensate. Do you have xenon brights as well?
The adjusters on my headlights don't seem to work anymore. Will need to have it looked at in the new year. Luckily its stuck on the medium height though.

No Xenon brights. Just Dipped beam and Fog lights. Xenon takes a few seconds to "warm up", so it will not be advisable to use it for brights...
