My outside temperature reading was saying it was about 40°C and it kept "bonging" at me to tell me that the passenger door was open. This problem was driving me mad and I thought it might be the fact that the battery needed replacing, but a new battery didn't resolve it. Luckily the guys at Red Motori suggested something that seems to have worked a treat, so I thought I'd pass it on.
All the electrics for the door go through a sort of a plug on the door, which you can see if you open the door. Took this off and sprayed some WD40 in both sides and problem solved.
I haven't explained it particularly well, but I hope this might help someone having the same problem!
