I bought a pair of new cam locks for a 1996 Spider 2.0 but on trying to fit them to the 3rd keep on each cam they seem to be the wrong profile, the lobe bottoms before the keep nears the head. The numbers are 1825042-1 and 1825042-2, the card in the box says 1825042000, Alfa Romeo 2.0 TS BZ and came in a Alfa box which had already been opened. The number seem to match locks for a 1400/1600 but Id like to be sure. Can anyone confirm they are the wrong ones please?

Not sure if this helps but the 1.6 TS has different cam locks. 1.8 and 2.0 TS are the same.....

I'd considerered aftermarket cams having been fitted, but the car doesn't seem to have been maintained never mind modified. How would I know anyway? It was advice on the part numbers I was hoping for to identify the locks, googling them seems to point to them being 1400/1600 16v but it's not absolutely clear.

If you can post up a picture I can see if they match my 1.8/2.0 ones

Thanks for help from all, I bought some more locally which did the job and proved the the 1st ones are not for a2.0 T.S. Now all I have to do is convince original seller his locks aren't as advertised! Paul.
