I have been quoted £500 to replace my upper and lower wishbones, does this sound reasonable. Has anyone bought their wishbones on ebay where there seem to be some very cheap ones. I was wondering if theese are any good and if its worth buying theese ang trying to find someone to fit them.
I am in south london.

(assuming you've got a 156) The parts from ebspares total about £215 Suspension Alfa Romeo 156 (although the RRP will be more than this), the upper wishbones are easy to change, but apparently the lower wishbones are a right PITA.

Try ebspares, shop4parts and alternative autos for new parts. I'm not sure what all the ebay stuff is but when a Pug 206 droplink lasted two weeks before the balljoint cover was split open I won't buy from there again. Motor factors also have pattern parts and should be ok. At least from non-ebay sellers you have a guarantee of sorts.

As you're in South London then you could give Southern Motor Factors a ring for the parts. They've a branch in Bromley near the Bromley bus garage. Or there's a specialist in Bromley and Beckenham; I daresay they could supply and fit..

How's your German?
