The weather has finally taken its toll on my ten year old Brera and during a torrential downpour yesterday, the bracket supporting the passenger side of the wiper mechanism broke away from the bulkhead leaving the wiper flapping around like a stranded fish.

The welds holding this bracket on are pretty much none existent and super glue would probably have done a better job.

I vaguely remember reading a thread/post on this some while ago but cannot find it but would imagine it is not a rare occurrence.

Anyone know the best fix for this?

Is it an easy welding job or is it possible to get behind the bulkhead to bolt it on?

It's in the stickies, 'Brera wiper eating itself' or something

Thanks, but that 'sticky' refers to a remedy for the wiper arm rubbing against the bonnet, an issue I had sorted under warranty ten years ago.

In my post I ask what to do when the supporting bracket breaks away from the bulkhead.
