thanks some thing i hadnt noticed before today
does this also do this when on intermitent wipe
My Clio's wipers (with rain sensor) also used to stop with the car stationary,
which I found quite sensible. On the Mito I didn't go for the rain sensor or
auto lights option as I found the latter annoying (under bridges etc.) and
I'm perfectly capable of switching things when needed!

Has anyone else found there's no apparent difference between the two
intermittent settings on the wiper stalk? It would be useful if one was
less frequent than the other...

Yes I noticed that! Seems pointless having two different settings that are exactly the same! When set on the lower setting my wipers go to intermitent when the car stops. Good idea that.

indeed. i think there is a second's difference between the two. pretty dumb IMO. stopping when stationary (actually just slowing) is sensible.

they also speed up too much at speed - so when there is spray on the road buit no rain you have to manually wipe your screen.

the rear wiper is also pretty moronic. it speeds up at speed also, despite the fact that at speed less water hits the back window - surely it should slow down?

more thought wouldn't have gone a miss - or even better - let the driver select what they want the setting to be like on most cars (inc alfa 156). do it properly or not at all

rant over
