i never had this problem in the 1st 3 months of owning the gtv but lately i find that both windows catch on the rubber and dnt close properly when closing the door, i have to push them in place, if i dnt then they look like sum1s tried to break in aas theres a gap there.

most annoyin is when i close the door to drive away and can hear outside noises like my windows open so i got to open and close it, any ideas?

Dem, this is almost the norm with a GTV! Take it to a specialist (Veloces in Barnet, Alfa Aid etc) and they'll adjust them for you, though they can go wrong again within a couple of months...

In the meantime, get some silicon spray from Halfords, spray it on a rag and get it around the door rubbers where the window catches, and get some on the top edge of the window too, this might allow the window to slip under the door rubber rather than catch on it.

Also, don't let people slam your doors or even push the doors closed using the window, make them push them shut by pushing the metal of the door

Just what Markos says, it's a perennial problem. Have given up the hours spent adjusting them only to be back at the beginning a few months later, I, and I think many others, just live with it. I do find that dropping the windows a bit and then closing them usually, but no always, reduces the wind noise.
