Every morning when I get into my car the windscreen is misted on the inside, what's the best way to stop this happening? Where should the settings be on the fan settings to avoid this? What exactly does recirculation switch do?

I found the GT terrible before I replaced the pollen filters

I dont get any on mine, maybe misting means a door seal has gone?

+1 on that, check all carpets etc and spare wheel well for damp if it's very bad, mine had a leaky boot seal last winter and was a bugger for misting up.
Fixed with a bit of silicone and problem solved.
Also do you have the auto climate or the manual?

Guys, I've checked all the seals everything seems intact, its no other window other than the windscreen. The climate control is the manual version???? Oh, carpets dry too............

Have you had a proper check of the boot? These tailgates are notorious for leaking, normally around the hinge area.

Check the scuttle drain below the windscreen. If the drain is blocked there will be a build up of water which can get into the cabin if too bad.

You will need to remove the scuttle trim below the windscreen to check. The drain is a hole about an inch in diameter in the centre of the scuttle. Mine was blocked and the scuttle full of dirty water. I noticed condensation above the air vents on the windscreen for a while but ended up with very wet mats and carpets after recent heavy rain.

After clearing all the crap out and clearing the drain (and drying the mats and carpets) all is now OK.

If the inside windows are frosted the inside of the car is damp .Wife had same trouble last winter place a towel along bottom of the window screen on a night seemed to help

Nope, just done this it's clear!

Where's the pollen filter?

The pollen filter is hidden away at the back of the centre console. You can get to it from the passenger footwell but being double jointed helps.

Mine is terrible as well, takes about 10 minutes before it clears whenever I get in the car!

You might try leaving something like this in the car:

Kontrol Moisture Muncher 200g

It's like a bag of silica gel, but you can re-activate the granules by sticking it in the microwave. Should help keep the damp down until you've figured out the source.

I would think so, because its easier for moisture to enter the cabin

I took them out in the summer and never got round to replacing them .



Thats if I can remember which way round they go in .

Ive looked on shop4parts but cant work out their pricing , is it for just one half or both


eurocarparts have some for £12.36 . Is this about right for both halves
