The inlet flexi hose between the MAF and inlet plenum on my V6 Spider has split at the corrugated bit. The car is now down on power and struggles to pick up revs.

Is it likely that the split in the hose is thinning out the mixture and confusing th ecu. Weirdly the check engine light isn't on.

I'm in the process of ordering a new hose at the moment.

Unmetered (and unfiltered) air is getting in.
So yes it won't run properly with a split in the intake.

Duct tape is fine as a temporary fix. Symptoms are usually a flaky idle and flat spots below 3k. Above 3k all is normal.

The idle is definitely lumpy and uneven. I really would've thought it would have set off the check engine light. She normally races towards the redline but with the leak it seems quite laboured.
