I love my JTD and I'm pretty happy with the performance, however, I really hate the way the revs drop away so quickly once you release the throttle. I miss the way the revs almost 'hang' like they do in a nice petrol V6, even the wifes BMW diesel sustains the revs well between gears.

I'm considering a remap - but only if this desired effect can be achieved, though I'll obviously enjoy the performance increase as well!

BTW - It's a 136bhp, I have a standard flywheel, and I'm aware I can keep my foot on the throttle to achieve (roughly) the same effect!

Enlighten me . . . . .

As in there's too much engine braking when in gear and not on the throttle?

Kind of . . . .but not the main problem, as the car is sufficiently heavy to keep up it's own momentum. I'd just like the revs to die away slightly more slowly, like they do in a modern petrol engine. The JTD is like I've switched it off once the foot's off the pedal.

Like all modern derv engines, the throttles are electronic, not mechanical, so this should be achievable.
