Get hold of a cheap ELM327 USB interface on ebay and then use the demo version of FIATECUScan (assuming you have access to a laptop).

Don't even consider the bluetooth ELM interfaces even if they do sound like a good idea and are cheaper. They are cheaper for a good reason - they are incompatible with almost all OBD software out of the box and require a nightmare of set-up to get working.

Sorry to bump this thread once again but I'm a bit lost with choosing correct ELM327. FiatECUScan is writing that k-line (VagCom), ELM 327 1.3(or later) or OBDKey 1.40 are supported. But when i hit eBay with "ELM327 usb" search string I'm lost in abbreviations. Sorry for posting a link (not sure if it is allowed). But can anyone please tell me what is the correct one to buy?

ELM327 usb | eBay

Thanks a lot.

My Bluetooth elm works fine with fiat ecu scan and alfadiag :) Agree there are a lot out there with issues though. Think I got V1.4 for about £8.
