Hi guys,

had a bit of a baffled moment today. I've replaced all the brake pads and brake fluid on the GTV today.

Brakes went fine and got good clean fluid running through them now but I couldn't get anything to come out the clutch slave.

I mean nothing at all - so much so that I took the bleed nipple out completely and it was dry as a bone. Now the clutch works and operates as it should, albeit I think it does want bleeding up a bit, but for the life of me I couldn't get it to express any fluid at all.

What did I do wrong?

I had wife assistance so she pressed pedal, I opened bleed nipple and expected fluid to rush out, nothing.

Got to the point where I took the bleed nipple out completed and you could jump up and down on the clutch pedal like a crack addict at an illegal rave - not even a hint of fluid.

Help?

Must be blocked with crud. Stick a stiff bit of wire in the hole but be ready with the bleed nipple case it starts pouring out.

Ha ha. I had the same problem bleeding brakes with my 12yr old son on the brake peddle.
I was baffled for a while then figured out he was on the clutch peddle.

Don't suppose this helps much but it's funny now I remember it
