You say "Hold on..." (put phone down for 15 seconds)
Then answer "Hello.. Simon speaking.. ."

people aren't ready for that........they are ready to hear 'hello' and then ask for the person they want - you are confusing themMy phone rings.
I answer it with " Hello Elfred here"
Caller "Is that Elfred?"

I have the same company ringing me on my mobile periodically trying to tell me I have been sold PPI I didn't need. I have repeatedly told them I have never had PPI and not to ring me ever again (not my exact words you understand). They seem to know better than me though and I am expecting another call from them (a company from Liverpool) in the next few days.

No but sites require you to wear a corporate hiviz well mine do at least.
I watched a bloke get out the lift and with a huge 4 about A4 size in front of him asks, "is this level 4?" to which I said nahhh, it's 3, but someone had told him before my response sank in :lol:

All depends, when we work on Sainsburys all contractors have to wear an orange 'Sainsbury Contractor' vest.No but sites require you to wear a corporate hiviz
