Anyone had any experiences in geting their Alfa 2.0 JTS re-mapped??

I take it that the same engine is in the GT & later 156:confused:

What are the upsides (power, torque etc)

What are the downsides (fuel consumption)?

What does it cost?

Is it detectable (insurance company / dealer)

I asked Superchips at the NEC Autosport show but they'd never heard of it:rolleyes:

Cheers,

I've heard that all it does is adjust low-rev throttle response to give the impression of being quicker, but I might be wrong. I only really know of dieselists who've bothered with remaps.

We do not do the JTS as it needs rechipping which we will not do, but we do all the TS engines. Did a 52 plate 2.0 TS with CDA today.

Hhmm, I'm sure I PMd you a few months ago asking for details of remapping my 1998 GTV 2.0 TS (with Larini exhaust and K&N airfilter) and you said you couldn't do it  If you can, please send me details :)
