I am guessing it was Pininfarina as it was a run out model, with everything supplied by AR? Can anyone answer the question? I have googled but to be honest it is less than clear.

this photo shows both peugeot 504 pininfarina coupe and early alfa spiders in the same factory.....but the Pininfarina page of Wiki, does not list the S4 as being produced in one of their factories (spider veloce and the later 916 are mentioned).......so maybe just the design was Pinin, and Alfa put the car together....then again there is no mention of our S4 spiders at all on the wiki page, even under cars designed by Pininfarina.........!

Thanks SS. It seems they were produced at the San Giorgio factory as per the photo you attached.

When I asked Marco Fazio at Centro Documentazione Alfa Romeo about the build date for my S4 I also asked whether it was built in a Pinifarina factory and he replied: "yes, it is possible, Pininfarina factory in Turin". So by the sounds of that reply, looks like he wasn't entirely sure!

Try emailing him to see what you reply you get....

Thank you all. So PF made them... Does that mean AR delivered engine, gearbox and mechanical components and PF assemble them? It seems to be the business model from my wiki research.
