Seeing Saffron Walden-ers in here has got me thinking

I was living in Hertfordshire and am stuck as a South East girlie, though now I live in Essex, kind of on the border with herts near Bishops Stortford.

I used to go to some of JillyFlower's Peterborough pub meets

Am I right in thinking I can be both EA and SE :D

Oh the options!

Yes you are right.

Please feel free to suggest something.

Hi guys, picked up my 54 plate 156 SW 2.4 JTD TI on Saturday. I have a few things that need looking at on it before it officially takes over from my BMW. It is just about due for a service and needs rear discs and pads. Then it will be off to my local Alfa enthusiasts garage so that they can see what else might need addressing. Hopefully once it is all up and rolling you might well see it around Diss, Thetford, Bury St. Edmunds, Eye, Norwich and Ipswich.

It needs a couple of pieces of interior trim replacing, so hope to keep an eye out for those.

I will probably have the EGR valve off and give that a good clean out.

The interior needs a thorough going over.

Swap out the standard CD/radio and replace with a unit that I have.

I'm sure there are a few other things as well but that is all I can think of off my head.

Hi, I'm Tim living in Sproughton, Ipswich. I've always loved Alfas since owning a cream 1981 Alfasud when I was 27. Finally got my dream car a couple of months ago. Love it slightly more than is probably healthy. Only disappointment is it hasn't made me more attractive to women, and other Giulietta drivers look at me strangely when I wave. I like surfing, carp fishing, politics, web design and making it through to the weekend.

Hi to all of you lovers of Alfas and other exotic and classic motor cars, my name is Douglas and I live in the thriving village of Debenham situated to the East of Stowmarket. Now getting pretty ancient but thought I would treat myself to a very pretty and up together Spider S2, although tomorrow it is going to get its suspension sorted out as in a previous life when being restored the suspension plates on the front were reversed giving it a slight lean on the drivers side. Fortunately have a good Alfa specialist nearby who pointed out the problem when on a lift.
Has had extensive restoration with new wings and a major engine rebuild as well as the fitting of an S4 beige leather interior which I think gives it a very Italian chic appearance, the purists are now probably rubbing their eyes in disbelief at such vandalism, but I didn't arrange this and quite honestly I think it looks the dogs nads.
I also ride an Italian Bianchi Road Bike and last year succeeded in raising a lot of money for the Royal British Legion after completing the London to Paris bike ride, was the oldest rider out of 250 entrants.
Hope to attend an Alfa event this year but will be attending the Revival in September.

One of those Saffron Waldeners here again. Lets get a meeting going somewhere. Nice sunny evening meet up at a nice country pub for a pint (of lemonade) and a collective exchange of horror stories. Any takers?
I'm thinking a couple of weeks, mid week or weekend?

T reg Red GTV 3L V6 with rear spoiler and BBS wheels.

Recent new owner, actually it is my wife's car but she has some sort of allergy when it comes to car forums, of a 1967 Duetto. Fully restored a couple of years ago and now 99% complete. Lots of little things to do to get the car into completely original condition, but that is what the winter is for.

First ever Alfa and bought by my wife as it is a 'pretty car.' If you were at Helmingham today you might have seen it.

New person

I am from Framlingham and have just got a 147 2litre twin spark for not a lot. I also have a green sportwagen with the same engine and tan leather which needs a good home that can give it an mot and a paint job. My user name is the same as my business which makes caravan and trailer movers that fold up and go in the boot of your car.

Dave the rave from Cambs

Hi All,
Mid fifties me! Have always considered an Alfa as a 'real' car. Yes, they are fickle and un-reliable compared to main stream cars. But who wants to go out with a girl who wears pleated skirts and stays in on a wed to do her hair!! I want the latin temptress who wears stockings and likes a romp in the park after dark.

Alfas LOOK so sexy and sound addictive. You can keep Bm's and Mercs, they just make me zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz yawn!

I live on the Fens, and my other love is bikes. Did the Stelvio amongst others last year on the bike, would be nice to get a picture of my 147 at the top next, with me and my wife (in stockings) standing next to it.

Hope to get to some meets soon as we have just bought our 147, and want to get it sorted before we go out in it. Have owned and loved a GTV and a 145 Junior (great car that) in the past.

New Ipswich Lad

Hi All, Recently purchased my first Alfa (Alfie) a lovely GT Blackline Edition which has become our new baby. Only had him for a couple of weeks in which time the garage is full of detailing gear and he has just received a set of Xeon headlamps fitted by Avanti Alfa garage in Ipswich (Great job lads).

Looking to meet up in the coming months and the odd little drive at the weekends (Only when dry and no dust blowing around)

Hi all...

Just thought I would introduce myself to this area.

I'm based around Duxford, drive in and out of Cambridge on a daily basis, and sometimes Royston and Saffron Walden area.

Already received a couple of flashes and waves from a black 159, and silver 159.

I'm the one driving the Gabbiano Blue 147 GTA with ridiculously loud Wizard exhaust
