Noticed recently that on idle, and under acceleration at lower speeds, something in the engine bay seems to be making an increased whining (is that how you spell it?) noise.

Any ideas of what it is that is probably about to cost me a samll fortune?

Might be your clutch release bearing does it go if you press the clutch??

Or it could be the fan belt tensioner/water pump/or cambelt pulley suggest you get it checked out pretty quick or it could get very expensive if its realted to the cambelt

Had cam belt/tensioner etc done last December so hope its not that. I'll get it checked over asap
Don't think its clutch related, doesn't change if clutch is depressed or not.
Cheers

Took it to Westune in Bolton today, and they had a listen and looked at me strangeley and said there was nothing untoward. On a sad note they told me they are closing. The older guy said something about the 155 and 164 being the last true alfas. They've sold the land for houses frown
